What a huge month July was for Beer Army. The pace at which we grow continues at warp speed. It seems that I have failed in any effort to try and slow this freight train down which is ironic considering we haven’t added any new projects. It is like we have reached critical mass and we have become a self-licking ice cream cone.
One of the core tenants that I promised everybody, especially our staff was never to be content with where we are at. To continue to strive to do more in the areas of quality and customer service. But how do you exactly measure those things? More specifically, how do you compare and contrast where we stand with our beers?
There is nothing like some good old friendly competition where we put our beers up against other breweries. Such was the case on the 4th of July when we competed in the U.S. Open Beer Championships in Atlanta, Georgia. This was a competition that attracted breweries from all over the world and competed for gold, silver and bronze medals in multiple categories. I’m pleased to announce that we won a bronze medal with our mild ale also known as X-3134! Needless to say, we at Beer Army are really stoked to simply medal at our first competition and extremely proud of all the guys at the brewery for producing such award winning beer.
While breweries win medals all the time, I’m not sure how many can say they have done so in less than 3 months of operations. With that said and as I have stated above, we simply can’t sit on our laurels and be content. So we are excited to announce that we’ll be competing for the North Carolina Brewers Cup at the N.C. State Fair in October. We are even more excited to announce that we’ll be competing at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver, Colorado during the first week of October. Not only that but we are one of the breweries that was able to get its registration in within the two hour window before registration closed and we’ll actually be pouring our beer at GABF. For those who are not familiar with GABF, it is literally the biggest beer festival in the world that draws over 50,000 people in attendance from all around the globe during the 3 days/4 sessions. To win a medal at the GABF is like winning the Super Bowl, World Series, etc. of beer contests. Do we have what it takes? We’ll all have to wait and see.
With the demand for our beer growing day by day, we simply couldn’t keep up with the demand to self-distribute our beers. We are excited to announce that starting this month we have reached an agreement with Freedom Beverage Company to be the exclusive distributor state wide for Beer Army Combat Brewery beers. Beer Army and Freedom joining ranks just seemed like a natural fit. Together we are confident that we can help each other grow and continue to be competitive in the market place. This means in the coming months you’ll be able to find and drink our beer no matter where you travel within the borders on the state of North Carolina.
While it would be easy to sit back and for Beer Army to take all the credit, we just can’t do that. At the end of the day our success would simply not be possible without all of you soldiers and supporters of Beer Army. You continue to inspire us with your dedication and we are extremely grateful. Thank You!
