Where did 2012 go and can you believe 2013 is here already? Shouldn’t we all be operating flying cars by now? I guess we should at least be happy that John Connor is not running around destroying human killing robots or that we are not simply code in the machine.

Beer Army is flying down the road at a million miles an hour. We still had some stops to make along the way but then it seemed like the curtain came down on 2012 and all I could think was, “Hey, we aren’t done yet!” Luckily the Mayans were wrong and the world didn’t come to an end so we seem to have a little more time to fulfill Beer Army’s vision.

It seems like everybody is living life in the “Fast Lane” now days. Some are living life in the rear view mirror, hung up on nostalgia of a life that has gone by. Others are so busy setting goals and planning for the future that they forget to live life along the way. I would say I’m in the latter category. For some reason I feel like I’m playing catch up in life and I’m not even sure who the hell I’m trying to catch up with!

I guess I’m so busy living, that I forget to live. It is like being so focused on drinking your beer that you forget to actually enjoy the feat and taste the liquid goodness. That totally makes no sense but yet it seems I have been doing it my whole life.

So, a rant like this at the start of a New Year wouldn’t be complete without a New Year’s Resolution. After all, how can we be hard on ourselves when we fail at the ominous goal that millions of human beings around the world set at the start of every year called the New Year’s Resolution unless we put that line in the sand?

So my New Year’s Resolution is pretty straight forward, start living! I’m going to try and not ponder on the past, don’t suffocate myself looking at the future and instead just focus on today. It reminds me of an old saying that goes something like this, “Don’t worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about itself, each day has enough problems.”

How long will I make it with this resolution, a day, a week, maybe a month? I don’t know and I really don’t care. After all if I did, I would be breaking my resolution!

So here is to you, your families and all of our loyal supporters that have put Beer Army on the map yesterday, tomorrow, but more importantly, today. I hope you all achieve your resolutions for the New Year and 2013. May “Lucky 13” be your year!
