To my dearest: a tasty brew.
Not to be lewd or crewed
But you?
You do things that no other elixir can ever do!
With any mood
Even when unhitched and unglued
There you are,
On cue, and…
I swoon.
At times gentle and kind,
Coaxing and lulling me to unwind.
Other times dark and robust
Igniting inside my guzzling lust!
But oh when you’re sweetly silky
Your lacey legs do ever so sooth me,
Move me,
Coo me,
(I ain’t your average groupie)
To a tranquil sea
Filled with the mere bourgeoisie
That wish,
NAY, beg they could be me!
I mean damn yo,
You’re all sorts of sexy tasty…
I know with some others you’re abused.
But for me you simply bemuse,
Especially so if you were intriguingly infused…
But one too many cruise with you I become dazed,
Confused,
But always so utterly enthused!
And when your mesmerizing taste meets my lips once more
You pour
All over my heart, soul and more.
And with you grasped in my hand,
(My other on the bar so I may still straightly stand)
No one would ever find me a pompous bore!
You are of what makes lore –
With depth and swagger that makes my head sore!
It’s you and only you I slurringly adore!
One pint more!!
Have I yet mentioned, my dear, your strength?
To how many times you’ve swept me,
Or more times knocked me, right off my seat?
Ok…
Maybe even to a crushing defeat, my face plastered on concrete…
But with you the world moves literally beneath my feet!
But for the sip of your alluring cool when squirming in heat
To you, my elite frosty treat –
I repeat!
To pay the price of your love
I will always be in complete conceit!
Oh! But then to speak of your outer demeanor…
To the bouquet of floral aroma that
My nose can snuff no nearer.
It lingers,
And I lick my lips decisively
To your scent at times that can be spicy,
Or honey.
So sunny it is each occasion
Of your scent tingling my every sensation!
I must undoubtedly ration…
You are worth every blood percent of dangerous flirtation!
A mere mortal – I am so truly blest!
That every tingle across my tongue, at best,
Is a symphony of notes that is your subtle caress --
Oh no,
Would that be that your clever crescendo curling my toes?!
‘Ambrosia!’ My skin sings!
When you turn out such unexpected things!
You bready mistress makes my every nerve sprout wings!
But in the last, my love…
I admiringly and dutifully profess…
To each of life’s full glass I test,
To each brim that is filled to and met with your class,
To each time you’ve even knocked me on my ass,
I say
With every once of conviction within me
That from yore, your allure, to this moment here
My most beloved thing,
You will always be
What moves every cell within me to scream “CHEERS!”
Beer – oh how I love you dear…
